ABOUT US

SIDHA is promoted by a group of professionals who have worked across different parts of the country in different capacity. They have finally returned to the state of Jharkhand from where they have moved out to learn the practice of development which can be suited for the home state. With a focus on community awareness, mobilization and collective action to bring about social change; SIDHA works as a non-profit organization with support from several partners who like to see social change.
We are a non-government organization registered under the Society Registration Act, 1860, based at Ranchi, committed to take up social initiatives for the overall development of the communities in our operation. Our approach is to enhance livelihood of the families by necessary means that promotes biodiversity, preserves traditional knowledge, sustains Jal (Water), Jangal (Forest), Jamin (Land), Jan (Human) and Janwar (Animal). We work directly at grassroots in a spirit of enabling communities to build upon their skills, initiatives and resources.Till date, the community with which we have worked has made us proud by bringing visible changes in their quality of life through continuous support and active participation.

Our Mission

Develop techno managerial capabilities among rural youth to take charge of community development through area saturation approach with low cost climate resilient investment towards achieving SDGs in our area of operation.

Our Reach

As a development consultancy, working towards the ecological restoration and conservation of land and water resources in ecologically fragile, degraded and marginalized regions, we've impacted more than 10820 population belonging to 3052 households in 29 villages in the rural areas of Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha have been directly impacted through various projects being implemented by the organization. SIDHA is also providing supportive supervision to the adaptation project being implemented by the Forest Department in 48 villages in two landscapes covering about 8888 families.
